The FIA International Court of Appeal (ICA) has reached a decision after their meeting yesterday in Paris to hear BMW Sauber, Ferrari, Red Bull and Renault protests in regards to the legality of the diffusers that Brawn GP, Toyota and Williams used in the Australian and Malaysian Grand Prix.
The ICA deemed that the race stewards at both races made the correct decision to allow the “questionable” diffusers to be used. Hence the results of these to races are confirmed and the driver and team standings are official.
What is next? All the protesters will have to go back to their drawing boards to gain a few extra Newtons of downforce. Just two days ahead of the Shanghai Grand Prix. Let’s see which is the most efficient team.
